Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1997 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora often stylized in uppercase as AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 receiving rave reviews from both music bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, was released for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are among her most well-known recordings. Katy Perry's endorsement of her track Runaway on her blog added to the musician's recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering an attic piano and becoming enthralled by the sounds it would create. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music for a love rather as a career. So she started with her own music. In addition to Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. In response to her mother's suggestion that her children should not be aiming at achieving fame through the songs she writes, but rather be aware of the significance of them and the impact they have on society. When she was six she started playing the piano. At age nine, she began writing her own songs. She didn't tell her family about it until she turned fourteen. It was never a dream to become Aurora. Aurora says she loves creating songs. According to her, the music she writes is how she feels about any thing.
